Are you bleary-eyed from waking up at 4 AM to watch royal wedding footage? Or are you bushy-tailed from sipping English tea and eating scones all morning at a viewing party?

Or perhaps you decided to hit snooze and catch the wedding-of-the-century’s details at a reasonable hour.

If you missed it, the Royal Wedding was just perfect. Everything went off without a hitch. Kate looked just lovely and handled herself with the poise and grace of a true royal.

And the detail we’ve all been speculating about for months? Kate Middleton’s wedding dress is a truly beautiful gown by British designer Alexander McQueen. As Kate stepped out of 1977 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI in front of Westminster Abbey, she made fashion history in the gown, a long-lace-sleeved gown with a deep-V-neckline and a satin ivory bodice. And the back of the dress — a stunning low-cut with a lace overlay — gorgeous! The dress is very Grace Kelly with a sophisticated, yet traditional feel. She wore a gauze veil trimmed in lace and Queen Elizabeth’s tiara, known as the Russian Fringe Tiara or the George III Crown (which is worth a whopping $120,000!).

Kate’s wedding bouquet is small and delicate, containing a stem from the myrtle bush that Queen Victoria planted in 1845. It also contains a sprig from the myrtle plant that was grown from Queen Elizabeth’s 1947 bouquet.

Queen Elizabeth described the wedding as “amazing” — a rare compliment.

And now, as I type, William and Kate are standing on the balcony at Buckingham palace, where they just shared their first kiss in front of thousands (and they sneaked in a second kiss — a British royalty first!).They will now attend the Queen’s luncheon at Buckingham Palace, and later this evening they will enjoy a dinner reception, complete with speeches, drinks and dancing.

So raise a glass to England’s new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!
