The juice pouch recycling program was something I first being acquainted with at the elementary school where I worked. I saw a box full of juice pouches and asked my kids why they were being saved. They told me they were being recycled, but I didn’t think Capri Suns were recyclable, so I looked into it.
I was surprised to find out that 3.6 billion juice pouches were being thrown away worldwide each year. Due to this, Terracycle teamed up with Capri Sun and Honest Kids to put an end to the wasted resources. Schools, churches and organizations can enter the Terracycle recycling program. [Terracyle Brigade]
You can enter here and then you just start collecting the pouches. Terracycle will donate $0.02 to the charity, non-profit organization or school of your choice. They’ll send you the containers to collect in and the shipping labels to send them back!
Terracycle then uses the pouches to make backpacks, tote bags, pencil cases and more. Go green and get involved!

Wow! what a nice post. The recycling process is very attractive.
I this this is a really nice way to recycle.
I looked into this but now Terracycle has a 500 pouch per shipment minimum. That would take me 3 years to save up and I don’t have cooperative neighbors to help us out. So nice idea, but in reality not doable on an individual scale. Oh, and our school district has no interest in recycling anything (not even the soda cans from their vending machines).
