Ladies…Please enlighten me on this…I am seriously struggling with (when I go to work) whether or not I should:
- Bring just my work bag and just toss my wallet inside..
- Bring both my purse and my work bag..
- Bring just my purse and make-do fitting what I need into my purse..
Call me weird, but I have struggled with this concept for years! I want to have a bag that holds my planner, work binders, computer, lunch, etc. Then at the same time, I want to have my wallet with me, and chapstick and whatever other purse like necessities I may need on-hand. Then again, I don’t want to be the office bag lady and hull in two fairly large bags to work every day.
Am I the only one faced with this intrinsic dilemma? Because I literally search and sift through my bags and purses until I think I am satisfied with all items in one… Then I change my mind and bring a purse and work bag.
Cue frustration.
I do see the purpose in bringing your purse if you are going out to lunch or heading somewhere straight from work…but I don’t see the point in having two GIANT bags at my feet all day when my only plan is to head home and feed my dogs!
So ladies, please do let me know what is best. Carry both? Find an organized way to maintain one work bag with all necessary items? Carry my binder and laptop in hand and stuff lunch in my purse?
What do you suggest? What do you carry? I want to know!

I have what I call my “work purse,” which is a large black bag that holds everything I need it to while still looking nice and purse-like. It’s the best of both worlds (don’t cue Miley Cyrus singing that or anything).
My Secret Agent bag is my go everywhere bag (including work) cus I have to carry the puppy crate around, so I definitely toss my lunch and puppy’s lunch in there until I get to work. When going out or something later, I just take my wallet and 2 or 3 essentials (contact drops, chapstick, etc) out in a smaller bag.
If you are looking for a unique designs of hand bags, I offer you, to take a look on my collections of bags The “zebra Purses” Its all great and fabulous.
I usually carry the two bags. I don’t like it, but I don’t like carrying huge purses if I get to actually leave the office during the day or go somewhere after work and my heels and lunch and work stuff won’t fit in smaller ones.
I’ve tried finding a big bag that could double as work bag and regular bag so I could consolidate, but always end up gravitating to my little purses again, especially during slow times when I think, “I’m not carrying work home, I’m wearing flats at the office and ordering sandwiches delivered for lunch. Why am I lugging this huge bag around?” So I just have a large bag I only grab on days when I need it.
I’m loving the “work purse” idea! Cause I’m not sure how much longer I can handle lugging the two to back and forth to work!
Thanks for all of the wonderful advice ladies!
laptop bags using natural leather is my choice because natural leather is much softer and looks better .;*
It’s best to use medium sized bags, this way it means you can carry an array of essentials, but not look like you are carrying around too much stuf!
Always look for a bag with plenty of internal compartments, this means you can organise all your bits and pieces and remain looking professional rather than having to fumble around in the base of your bag!
Invest in a good quality bag that will last you a lifetime that you know will be useful.
Carry as much as you can in your bag but don’t overstuff! I would say put the purse in your bag, but leave the lunchbox at home!
