All of Tinsel Town is a flutter with the big news that Kate Hudson is engaged to Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy! Kate has been engaged for about a week now, but is still completely ecstatic about it.

The engagement was announced on the “Today” show when Matt Lauer asked Kate to place her left hand into his so he could look at her new ring. She said she didn’t want to announce her engagement, but rather was waiting for someone to notice. Well, notice we did! The rock is a beautiful emerald cut diamond ring that sparkles in any lighting.

Besides the engagement, Kate is also expecting her second child later this year. The father of her baby is her new fiancé Matthew, of course! Kate also has a son, Ryder, from a previous marriage to Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes.

There is one thing that Kate has always been known for, however, and that is her unique fashion sense! Recently she was spotted wearing an elegant outfit at a prestigious event. In this photo she adorns a revealing blue dress that accentuates her baby belly and carries a gold, shiny clutch.

Of course we’ve seen fringed handbags around for years, but it seems that this summer they’ll be especially on trend. Plenty of celebrities are picking up on the look.

Kourtney Kardashian has been hitting up the LA scene lately with this long, black-fringed bag by Stella & Jamie. You gotta love the way the layers of fringe on this bag move and flow - clearly Kourtney does!

I think the look of fringe in motion is a major part of a fringed bag’s appeal. Jenna Dewan was spotted looking fabulous in a summery jean jacket, the fringe on her taupe handbag dancing as she walks down the street! Perfect for the actress and dancer of Step Up, don’t you think?

But Dewan isn’t the only one who loves the trend. The style also seems to be a favorite of Vanessa Hudgens, who has been seen with her grey suede fringe handbag many times, pairing the indispensable purse with lots of different looks. Sometimes it seems you never see a super star wearing the same outfit, the same shoes or the same purse twice. After all, they’ve got plenty of money to buy clothes and plenty of designers who want to see them wearing their lines.

But sometimes super stars can be just the same as us, and just as we’ve all got our favorite comfy pair of jeans or our signature bag, so do celebs.

From the number of times Keira Knightley has been spotted out with her Ostrich Hobo Miu Miu bag, it seems like she may have a new favorite purse!

OK, it may not be her favorite, but at least it seems to be her go-to bag. Many nights when she steps out of the Comedy Theatre in London, where she’s acting in “The Children’s Hour,” the bag is seen swinging off her shoulder.

The play also stars Elisabeth Moss and Rebecca Hall, and it’s scheduled to run through the beginning of May. It’s been popular because, obviously, Keira’s starring in it, but it’s also garnered good reviews from critics.

What else has Keira been up to lately? Word is she had an amicable split earlier in the year with long-time boyfriend Rupert Friend - he played the Wickham to her Elizabeth Bennett in Joe Wright’s 2005 adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice.” And it seems she’ll be working with Joe Wright again soon. Keira is slotted to play the title role in a new adaptation, directed by Wright, of Anna Karenina.

We’ll be looking forward to the new film, and in the meantime we can at least sneak a peek at her London bag style! The Hills. You know, the hit reality TV show following the adventure and drama of four L.A. girls? The series finale was last summer, but the stars of “The Hills” are far from out of the spotlight!

Ever wonder what they’re up to these days? Well today we’ve got the scoop on their latest projects and their spring/summer style!

What’s L.C., Lauren Conrad, been doing in 2011? Lauren has turned author with her “L.A. Candy” books, and she’s already planning a potential movie and more books for the future. She also has a new fashion line set for launch in fall 2011, and walk into any Kohl’s and you’ll see her trendy discount fashion line!

And for good reason, Lauren has a fashion sense worth following! Looking stylishly simple, above Lauren sets off her white tee and jeans with a camel belt and beautiful camel handbag. Whitney Port has had a successful time outside “The Hills” as well. Whitney left “The Hills” for her own spin-off called “The City,” following her career as a budding designer in New York City’s fashion world. “The City” was canceled after two seasons, but Whitney’s still involved in reality TV, hosting the show “Genuine Ken” on Hulu. Her first book and autobiography, “True Whit,” came out in February.

Whit seems to still be going strong in fashion, despite the rather random ensemble she was seen wearing recently. The sweats and skeleton shirt look a little like pajamas, but we can’t quarrel with the bold colors of her handbag! A great multi-colored bag can really make an outfit.

Audrina Patridge has been pursuing her careers in modeling and acting. She’s had several roles in Hollywood and was on the last season of “Dancing with the Stars.” She was seen last week coming out of filming for her new reality show called “Audrina,” which premieres April 17th on VH1.
