We rounded up the gals after work for a quick jaunt to Saks Fifth Avenue for a special presentation of fall trends and the chance to meet other fashion lovers in Indianapolis! When Fashion’s Night Out was created by Anna Wintour (editor-at-large of Vogue) four years ago to stimulate the economy and support fashion, the event was only held in New York City to kick off fashion week. And while Indianapolis may not be known as a fashion capital of any kind, us Indy gals were thrilled to hear that Indy would be participating in Fashion’s Night Out! It gave us the chance to sip on cocktails, chat with local bloggers, shop fall trends, and support the economy of fashion.
There were several events around Indianapolis to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out, but we attended the Saks Fifth Avenue show to get a sneak peek at all things fall. The show featured fab looks including tons of tweed, structured blazers, ladylike gloves & hats, and the ever-popular equestrian trend. We’re totally digging the rich fabrics and patterns: fur, jacquard, tweed, houndstooth, and brocade. Not to mention fabulous deep & rich colors like plum, burgundy, hunter green, and navy!
