Describe how you styled our bag with your look

The June bag is a very structured, professional style bag in a toned down purple, and so I knew it wouldn’t go well with something super casual, edgy or too girly. It often works out quite well when you have a colored bag to pick at least one other piece of your look to be in the same color family. And from there, neutrals go best. So I did that with a lighter purple tank and tucked into a neutral denim skirt with nude pumps.

Describe your personal style

My style is classy, feminine and modern. I stay trendy but also keep my looks pretty simple. I avoid extremity and always strive to look both comfortable and cool.

Best fashion advice your mom ever gave you

Oh goodness! I don’t know if you could call it fashion advice. She has always said to buy clothes that are conservative, in complimentary colors and cuts, comfortable and practical.

Best advice for someone just getting into fashion

Don’t be intimidated. We all hard to start somewhere! Don’t let yourself be too influenced by others either! Do the best you can and quite frankly, one of the keys to success is: persistence, persistence, persistence. Get out there and do what you love, and do it well

How long have you been blogging? What got you into blogging?

I started blogging with a weekly (if that) photo on Chictopia.com in September, but I started my hapatime.blogspot.com in December. I got into blogging because I had (what I thought was) a lot of clothes, a nice DSLR and some extra time. I thought it would be easy but it’s not. The benefits are far exceeding my expectations though so it has turned out to be all worth it!

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be?

A platform stiletto!

If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Black! It is a classic color, workable year-round and it’s hard to get dirty

If you had to choose one accessory to take with you on a deserted island, what would it be?

Well ideally something useful like a pocket knife or water purifier, but clothing wise, a sun hat. Can’t be getting sun burnt… ouch!

I can’t drink because I’m allergic… but I have tried some drinks, and I like mojitos a lot! Mmm!
