Christmas colors like red and green make people feel all kinds of happy. Swap your regular bag for a bright red or green one through the season. Keep it plain or choose one with a same color embellishment like a flower or bow. Or a touch of faux white fur if you’re brave.
Turn your bag into an advent calendar
If you’re feeling especially festive, add a little accessory every day to your bag through the month. Perhaps a little Christmas bauble tied on one day, or a little partridge in a pear tree tag another. Simply pin, stick or tag on your festive element to transform your regular bag. Your friends and colleagues will look forward to seeing what wonders your bag has in store each day in the lead up to Christmas.
Spread the joy
Buy a bag that keeps giving. Check for designers and stores that will donate a part of the proceeds from the sale of your handbag to good causes. You’ll feel even better about that new bag if you know it has helped make someone’s life a little better.
Go subtle
If you’d like to keep it festive without being over the top, then an understated single color bag with snowflakes embossed on it may be nice. Or a regular handbag with accents in Christmas colors.
Festive prints
A nice cheery Christmas print. If your work environment is easy going, you can work this look all week long. For the rest of us, it is something we can look forward to on weekends. Maybe a red and white bag with a Christmas tree or snowflake pattern. Typography based prints are popular too. Perhaps a monotone bag with black and white Ho-Ho-Hos emblazoned across it.
